Flag of Penang : ウィキペディア英語版 | Flag of Penang
The flag of the state of Penang, in Malaysia, consists of three vertical stripes of equal width of light blue, white and yellow; the white stripe in the centre has an areca-nut palm on a grassy mount on a torse of blue and white. The flag was adopted in 1949, after Penang became a component part of the Federation of Malaya, and is derived from the coat of arms of Penang that was granted by King George VI at that time. The colours of the flag are derived from the tinctures of the coat of arms, and the areca palm, mount and torse is the crest of the State of Penang. ==External links==
